We are happy to announce the first Golden Lotus Yoga Teachers Association Banquet in four years! This year’s event will be held in the historic Scarab Club near the Detroit Institute of Arts.
In the past, this was an annual fundraiser started by our founder Yogacharya Oliver Black and is an opportunity for the broader community to come together in fellowship, have some fun, and raise money for Song of the Morning! Time and Place for the GLYTA Banquet
When: May 13, 4:00-9:00 p.m.
Where: The Scarab Club in Detroit located at 217 Farnsworth St, Detroit, MI 48202
The Scarab Club is an enduring home for the cultivation and celebration of the visual, literary, and performing arts located next to the DIA in Detroit.

Funds raised for this event go to support Song of the Morning and their continued dedication to offering spiritual refreshment and relaxation to the public! After You Register, Pick Your Meal
Once you’ve registered, click on the Choose Your Meal button and you’ll be given the options:
- Grilled Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce
- Rosemary Lemon Chicken Breast
- Eggplant Rolls/Zucchini, Peppers, Basil, Scallions and Marinara (Vegan and Gluten Free)
A green salad with vinaigrette dressing, grilled vegetables, oven-roasted potatoes and (Oliver) black forest cake will be included with your meal. Coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well.

Kirtan led by Steve Sandner and Justine Markey.
Speakers include Kaye Hogan, Jess Thibodeau, Linda Gabby, David Krolikowski, Shannon Smith, and guest speaker Fred Stella.
Chair Yoga led by Kendra Bohr.
Master of Ceremonies will be Sunny.
