GOLDEN LOTUS YOGA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION
WHO WE ARE
Founded by Yogacharya J. Oliver Black, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, our root teachings are centered in and around the principles and practices of Self Realization Fellowship, and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
Our 200 hour yoga training program provides Hatha Yoga classes, training, & teacher certification. Our style is a gentle, traditional, meditative Hatha Yoga. All of our teachers have been initiated into Kriya Yoga, the sacred pranayama and meditation technique, brought to America by Paramahansa Yogananda.
GOLDEN LOTUS SCHOOL OF YOGA
Through the Golden Lotus School of Yoga teacher training program, trainees will learn an in-depth study of yoga asanas, meditation and pranayama techniques, physical and subtle energy anatomy and physiology, principles of nutrition and diet, practical marketing and business philosophies, ethics, and class development for special needs.
A YOGA RETREAT OF EXCELLENCE
SONG OF THE MORNING
Founded in 1970 by Yogacharya J. Oliver Black. Song of the Morning Ranch is the result of Yogacharya’s desire to carry out the wishes of his Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, to establish a yoga retreat where the timeless science of yoga could be taught as a full and practical way of life. Golden Lotus Yoga Teacher’s Association and our School of Yoga is the vehicle that carries out that wish to this day.
Song of the Morning offers an opportunity to become immersed in the simplicity, serenity, and sustenance of a balanced yogic lifestyle. It is a place of spiritual refreshment and relaxation to those on a conscious spiritual journey toward union with the Divine, to those hoping to discover their own highest potential – and to all who seek respite from the worries and cares of the world.
Support our Gofund Me Campaign
We would like to create a professional video to promote GLYTA and our Golden Lotus School of Yoga. Through this video we would like to reach a broad audience and attract like-minded souls to consider taking our yoga teacher training. We hope to showcase what makes our training unique and our connection to the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, Yogacharya Oliver Black and the Song of the Morning Ranch.
From the recommendation of our committee, we are raising funds to hire professional cinematographers, video editors and sound mixers. Any contribution or prayers of support are greatly appreciated. Jai Guru!
