GOLDEN LOTUS YOGA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION

WHO WE ARE

Founded by Yogacharya J. Oliver Black, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, our root teachings are centered in and around the principles and practices of Self Realization Fellowship, and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Our 200 hour yoga training program provides Hatha Yoga classes, training, & teacher certification. Our style is a gentle, traditional, meditative Hatha Yoga. All of our teachers have been initiated into Kriya Yoga, the sacred pranayama and meditation technique, brought to America by Paramahansa Yogananda.

A YOGA RETREAT OF EXCELLENCE

SONG OF THE MORNING

Founded in 1970 by Yogacharya J. Oliver Black. Song of the Morning Ranch is the result of Yogacharya’s desire to carry out the wishes of his Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, to establish a yoga retreat where the timeless science of yoga could be taught as a full and practical way of life. Golden Lotus Yoga Teacher’s Association and our School of Yoga is the vehicle that carries out that wish to this day.

Song of the Morning offers an opportunity to become immersed in the simplicity, serenity, and sustenance of a balanced yogic lifestyle. It is a place of spiritual refreshment and relaxation to those on a conscious spiritual journey toward union with the Divine, to those hoping to discover their own highest potential – and to all who seek respite from the worries and cares of the world.
